Ingredients
- 8 slice bacon, coarsely chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can Original Baked Beans
- 1 can (15.5 oz.) Joan of Arc® Dark Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 oz.) Joan of Arc® Spicy Chili Beans
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 green onions, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook bacon in large nonstick skillet until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towel. Remove all but 3 tablespoons bacon fat. Add onion and pepper and cook 5 minutes or until softened. Add beans, barbecue sauce and half the bacon and bring to a boil.
- Transfer beans to 1-½ quart baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 20 minutes or until bubbling. Remove foil and top with cheese and reserved bacon. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with green onion.
